To introduce myself, my name is Heidi. I'm a full time student at James Cook University studying a Bachelor's Degree of Education (Primary). In my spare time (what is spare time these days?!) I volunteer for the organisation creating things for the website and Facebook page. It's a new adventure for me but so far I am absolutely loving it!
The photos and (super cute) video I am sharing with you all today are from our monthly group meeting. I was fortunate enough to be able to hold one of the baby wallaroos "Sebastian" who you can also see with his best buddy Stephanie in some of the other pictures. The video is of two baby possums that one of our members is currently caring for. They are now 6 months old and have transformed from a meagre 40g to a whopping 400g!
In other news:
We have some really exciting pages coming to our website soon that I hope you keep checking back for! For example, we have a brand new "Our Members" section where we get to showcase some of our wonderful members in our organisation and some of the animals that they care for. They have some stories to share alongside the pics including some funny and some sad, though nethertheless interesting. We'll also have some information on how you too can become a member with NQWC so keep an eye out!
In the meantime, have a great weekend and take care,
