Little and big bats (microbats and flying foxes) can get themselves in a lot of trouble: cat and dog attacks; entanglement in sticky fly paper, barbed wire, fishing hooks and fruit netting; lost in weird places; electrocution on power lines; collisions with fans or cars; not to mention babies that fall off their mums. This course will help carers learn how to safely rescue microbats and flying foxes in trouble and identify what equipment is needed. You will also learn how to assess and administer first aid to our beautiful winged friends. Warning: this course is not for the faint hearted!
