I've been a member of NQ Wildlife Care since 2011 and Microbat Coordinator since 2013. I've held the role of Training Officer and I'm currently the Microbat Coordinator, Wildman Officer, Restricted Medicines Compliance Officer and General Committee member.
I came into wildlife caring after retiring early from Nursing. I started caring for wallabies and flying foxes but since 2013, my primary focus has been learning everything I can about our wonderful microbat species here in Australia. It's been a steep learning curve but an enjoyable one. I do have a special love for our naughty, funny, accident prone and incredibly gorgeous free-tailed microbats. They are such a joy to care for!
